Confucius Institute Scholarships
The Confucius Institute Scholarship program provides financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers to study in a Chinese university for a limited period. In order to qualify for a one-semester scholarship you should have passed Chinese HSK proficiency test level 3 and Oral HSKK test, basic level. International Chinese Language Teachers (Confucius Institute) Scholarship Study Program in Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU)
The training programs for international students open at the beginning of spring and autumn semesters every year, with 18 weeks of classes each semester. The trainees are classified according to their Chinese proficiency into ten grades at basic, intermediate or advanced levels, the Students are taught in small classes of about 15, focusing on training in listening and speaking. Every semester, the Chinese Training Center offers 2 to 3 compulsory courses and 10 selective courses for students of all levels.

Confucius China Study Plan
If you are an academic at Zayed University and are currently doing a research or study on a China-related area, you may wish to apply for Understanding China Fellowship. This scheme supports researchers and scholars from non-Chinese universities and academic institutes to undertake research with Chinese researchers in China, duration can be from 2 weeks to 6 Months.
If you are currently doing a PhD on a China-related area, you may wish to apply for Joint Research PhD Fellowship. This scheme supports doctoral students registered with non-Chinese universities to come to China to study, research, and write their doctoral dissertations from 6 months to 2 years.
If you plan to pursue your PhD in China, you may wish to apply for PhD in China Fellowship , which supports non-Chinese students to pursue full-time Ph.D. degrees in the humanities and social sciences at Chinese universities.

China Beijing Spring Camp
This program is an opportunity for ZU students to build upon Chinese language learning over the academic year by undertaking a brief immersion in China. Two weeks spring camp includes language learning, and cultural/historical component that will help to contextualize the language learning.
As for the cost of the trip, students will have to pay for their airfare, Hanban/BFSU will cover the cost of lodging, transport, main meals, and CI will cover the costs of the Chaperone.
Criteria :
1. Emirati students (due to Visa processing constraints) who are enrolled in Confucius Institute Chinese language courses or China Club members;
2. GPA is 3 or above 3. ZU students

BFSU International Summer School (open for all UAE universities)
Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) calls for international experts for its ISS Program, which is designed to provide students with an opportunity for international exposure and improve their academic competence.

Time
The 2019 BFSU International Summer School is scheduled from July 5 to July 30, 2021, 4 weeks in total, with no classes held on weekends.

Format
The 2021 ISS will be held online, recorded or live broadcast, and all courses will be held in Beijing Time (GMT+8)

Qualifications of the Applicant

The applicant is a full professor (or equivalent) or associate professor (or equivalent).

The applicant is an influential scholar in his/her academic field.
